Red Nose Day at EDR

EDR employees have once again participated in the nationwide Red Nose Day, a charity to end childhood poverty.

Red Nose Day is a campaign which was launched in the US in 2015 by Comic Relief Inc. dedicated to end child poverty in the US and in some of the world’s lowest income communities. Foam red noses are sold at Walgreens and Duane Reade stores for $1 each with $.50 from each purchase donated to the charity. EDR had purchased 120 noses for our employees to wear around the office on May 24th and have gone “nose-to-nose” with the millions of others who have participated nationwide.

The goal of this initiative is to have fun while raising money for the cause. All money raised will provide assistance to children living in poverty with necessities such as food, school supplies, medical supplies, vaccines, and other essentials. In the past three years Red Nose Day has raised over $100M. This year’s donations have surpassed $42M.

According to, these funds have helped over 8 million children suffering from poverty, providing over 32 million meals, shelter for 61,527 homeless children and educational assistance to nearly 900,000 children.
